"It is vital that when educating our children's brains, that we do not neglect to educate their hearts."
-Dalai Lama

Little Belly Breaths Classes are Fun, Playful, & Non-Competitive

Little Belly Breaths creates a multi-sensory environment designed to appeal to variety of learning styles (visual, auditory, kinesthetic and intellectual). Using traditional yoga poses (modified to be age appropriate, and with playful, easy-to-remember names) with creative expression and age appropriate mindfulness practices, we foster a compassionate classroom environment where students are free to express themselves and move their body without fear or judgment. We encourage creativity and originality and guide students to experience their natural inner stillness and quietness.  There is no perfect nor wrong way to participate. There is just PLAY and individual expression!

Little Belly Breaths Classes ARE:

Little Belly Breaths Classes do NOT

  • CREATIVE, FUN and PLAYFUL.
  • Inclusive of all children (ages 2+). We focus on play and fun with each pose and activity.
  • Inspirational and provide the FOUNDATION for healthy poses.
  • Focused on teaching attention, balance and compassion through stories, games, and instructional activities.
  • Flexible with curriculum that is influenced by seasons and nature.
  • Require perfection. Posture and alignment cues are offered verbally, where appropriate, so that, over time, students begin to develop the foundation of a strong, healthy yoga practice. However, corrections are only made to ensure safety.
  • Function like traditional, adult yoga classes. We play, we use our imagination, we include props, stories and activities.
  • Incorporate religious elements. This is not a religious practice.
